Our Story

At Carlson’s Maseli Publication, we believe stories shape the future. Our mission is to preserve the spiritual and cultural richness of the Cook Islands through books that teach, uplift, and connect.

Inspired by Te Maseli a te Ariki Solomona—The Proverbs of King Solomon—our publications bring timeless wisdom into the hands of today’s generation. We honour our oral traditions, celebrate our heritage, and create content with heart and purpose.

Born in the heart of the Cook Islands, Charles Carlson’s journey is one of resilience, purpose, and transformation. After 26 years in New Zealand, he returned home in 2001 to help build a stronger, more resilient future.

From struggling in school to earning an MBA and MPhil, Charles proves that it’s never too late to rewrite your story. As the former Director of Emergency Management Cook Islands, he led national transformation by blending traditional knowledge with modern science.

Now retired, Charles has embraced a new mission: storytelling. Through books grounded in faith, leadership, and Cook Islands culture, he inspires children and families to rise above their circumstances and embrace their divine identity.
